During our May 2026 webinar, Cleo showcased how orality, specifically oral Bible translations, has a deep impact among indigenous people in northern Brazil. She pointed out that relationships are not optional but central to discipleship.

Cleonice Barbosa Larsson is a missionary with 31 years of experience serving in various regions and countries, with the majority of that time among indigenous peoples in the Amazon region. Her ministry has spanned healthcare, cross-cultural training, and leadership. In recent years she has focused on Bible translation through YWAM in Porto Velho, Brazil. She holds degrees in Theology, Obstetric Nursing, Intercultural Anthropology, and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics for Bible Translation.
