Danyal graduated with an MA in Intercultural Studies in 2006 from Columbia International University (CIU). Starting in 2007, he has been a cross-cultural witness among unreached people in the Philippines. 2018, Danyal also began to teach at a local Philippine seminary. Since 2020, he has studied for a Ph.D. in Orality Studies at the Asia Graduate School of Theology (AGST). In 2022, Danyal joined the Institutes for Orality Strategies (I-OS, https://i-os.org), where he teaches orality, edits the OralityTalks Journal, and oversees the Global Orality Mapping Project (GOMAP, https://gomap.pro).
